TIMES MALAYSIA, MALANG – Encouraging yourself is some kind of self appreciation of what we truly are. Rather than waiting for someone else to appreciate what we've done, it's better if we keep our self on track by keeping our self encouraged still. And UIN Malang has certain ways to keep you on track. 

"It's important to motivate your self. Because our word is shows what we are," Fuji Astutik.,M.Psi., a psychiatrist and a professor at Psychological Faculty of UIN Malang said on Sunday (25/7/2021).

According to Fuji Astutik, there are several ways we could do to keep on fire and able to do anything. Check the list below:

1. Make a goal

Choose a goal and start to make a plan on when will it be achieved.  Make  a note on your goal, when will it should have been achieved, whether it’s a week from now, a year, or may be 10 years from now. 

2. Enjoy the process

Wise man say, good things come with process. And that's true. So you just need to enjoy all the process, no matter how long it is. Never give up on the middle of your way to achieve your goal. Even if yiu have to face some obstacles during the process. 

3. Motivational words

Create yourself some words to encourage yourself. Put those words as your phone wallpaper, screensaver and else. Or some of your gadget just to remind you about your goal and bring you back on track when you feeling down.

4. Find a friend that has the same vibe

Gathering with some friend which has the same goal or at least the same though will encourage yourself. Or, you could find some motivational video on YouTube or tv to encourage yourself and remind you about your goal. This will keep you on track to achieve your goal. 

5. Evaluate  

Do some evaluation each day to keep on track of your goal. Do it before you sleeep when you already realx nd away of other things. Make a list on what things you need to do tomorrow to make things better or to gofurther to the next step.
