TASIKMALAYA – Karaha Bodas is one active volcano located at Kadipaten, Tasikmalaya, West Java. This place has a stunning view of white rocky mountains which makes the area look all white like its covered with snow.

You could reach the area within 5 kilometers away from Kadipaten sub-district. You could access this area with motorcycles or cars. Just take an exit at the last ramp at Hentong area.

Hear said, Karaha Bodas was created from Talaga Bodas volcanic rocks when the mountain active hundred years ago. The solfator and fumarol contain by the volcano produce an electricity that could light the whole Java and Bali island.

Int he middle of the crater, you will find a nice lake with the combination of emerald green and crystal clear water.  This fresh water will be such a sight for a sore eyes, regarding to the hot climate the mountain has.

Meanwhile, if you down a little, you will find a lush green pine forest. This forest will be a perfect place for you to pitch your tent with your friend or family. In normal day, lots of hiker will spend their time camping on this area.

A resort with hot spring pool could be found next to the crater. This has become one convenient that must be tried by the hikers or the visitors while they visit this place.
