TIMES MALAYSIA, MALANG – The Helios Adhyastha team, a group of Civil Engineering students from the yastha (Polinema) won 1st place at the national level through the National Tender competition held at Politeknik Negeri Semarang on Tuesday (22/05/2024). The competition with the theme "Effective and Efficient Building Cost Using Environmentally Friendly" was attended by various institutions with leading Civil Engineering majors in Indonesia.

National Tender Competition is dedicated for all Diploma 3, Diploma 4, and S1 Civil Engineering students from institutions in Indonesia. In this competition, participants are expected to compete in terms of calculating project costs with efficient and effective implementation methods.

The Helios Adhyastha team consists of three Civil Engineering students from State Polytechnic of Malang: Restu Putra Fajar, Moch Bintang Fazeel Permana, and Haisam Bawazir. The name "Helios Adhyastha" has a special meaning: Helios (The God of Sun) and Adhyastha (boy), which describes their vision as leaders who illuminate the future.

They have a strong plan in place to handle this competition. "Our preparations include joint matriculation, division of tasks, making block time, and guidance with supervisors," Restu Putra Fajar stated. To guarantee a stellar and peak performance, they also carefully prepared the subject, gave engaging presentations, and engaged in extensive team practice. They were able to perform exceptionally well in front of the judges and other contestants by using these tactics.

The Helios Adhyastha Team won the championship with outstanding performances because of their unwavering passion. "It must have been very tiring, but we considered it as part of the process, and all the efforts produced satisfying results," Restu added.

Another challenge is time management. Two team members are in their last semester and have a full schedule, so they need to be resourceful in how they split their time between studying and competition practice. Winning this tournament turned out to be mostly a result of perseverance and teamwork.

The unwavering commitment and perseverance of the team members was demonstrated by memorable moments during the tournament, such as staying up late on campus to work on assignments and various other obstacles that made the team lose hope.

As a result, the hard work resulted in victory for the team. The achievements made by the Helios Adhyastha Team not only boast the State Polytechnic of Malang, but also serve as an example for future students to follow in their footsteps and fulfill their dreams in the field of construction project management.
